Centre Cabins
The Formosa Centre Cabin is the ultimate family boat where you and the kids can safely experience the joy of boating with walk-around cabin access, and seek shelter from the weather.
The centre cabin is positioned on a slightly raised casting deck. The deck gives you a better view of your surroundings and great access to the anchor well. The Formosa Aluminium Centre Cabin has carpeted cabin bunks, three (3) cabin shelves, a storage box, a footwell, two side windows and windscreen. A great option for the Centre Cabin is a forward Seat welded into the cabin so you have a seating area out the front – great for the kids or a place casting for fish. The Formosa Centre Cabin now comes standard with the popular folding Rocket Launcher with Aluminium Hardtop Visor for extra sun protection and rod storage. The rocket launcher folds down towards the transom for greater storage options at home. The awning tracks welded to the Hardtop allows for installation of clears or canvas for even more protection. The OFFSHORE Centre Cabin models have Aluminium Seat Boxes for more storage options such as tackle boxes. The CLASSIC models have two Air Ride Adjustable Pedestals to give you more comfort while underway. Formosa boats are known for their stability, yet the Quad4™ Water Ballast option is available on each boat if more stability at rest is needed. Standard features on a Centre Cabin include a large aluminium Bowroller, 32mm handrails, Tow-Catch™ Trailer capability, heavy-duty dive ladder, quality steering, moulded fuel tank and sender with filter, automatic bilge pump, transom deck tread, foam-filled hull, electrical harness kit, 2 cleats, forward bollard, white paint and Formosa graphics, plus more.
Offshore Features
Upgrade to an OFFSHORE Centre Cabin for a High Tensile 5083 Plate Hull (including sides), a true Self-draining Aluminium Deck with scuppers which is carpeted for cool comfort underfoot, full Aluminium Casting Deck, the new Offshore Kill Tank with drainage system, carpeted Cabin Centre Board, two (2) aluminium seat boxes, SeaStar Hydraulic Steering and four (4) Aluminium Rod Holders on the 550 and 580. Sizes 620 and over get six (6) Aluminium Rod Holders. An underfloor 80L auxiliary tank for fuel or water is available for boats 620 and over. The Formosa OFFSHORE Centre Cabin is available in sizes 550, 580, 620, 660, 700 and 740.
Classic Features
The CLASSIC Centre Cabin is available in two sizes and built with a Marine Grade 5052 Plate Hull with 4mm sides and 4mm bottom sheets, four (4) plastic angled rod holders, two Air Ride Adjustable Pedestals and carpeted, film faced Hardwood Flooring. Installed on the CLASSIC models is the best steering worldwide, SeaStar Hydraulic steering. The Formosa Classic Centre Cabin is available in sizes 550 and 580.
Active Transom
For the FORMOSA SRT Plate Hull release, the innovative step-down ‘Active Transom’ has smart storage solutions, easy on-board battery access and continues to be the best in transom design and water access on the market. Full Access and Dual Access are not available for sizes 700 and 740 in this model.
Formosa SRT Plate Hull -2019
The New Formosa SRT Plate Hull combines the very best boat designs from the SEA-ROD and Tomahawk brands, packaging them into one skilfully engineered plate boat and rebranded as Formosa SRT. The new plate hull features the ultimate level of performance, handling and stability with the inclusion of custom-built cambered strakes for creating hydrodynamic lift and superior traction, a stronger Lock-cell Hull Structure, increased deadrise, large reverse chine and a Quad4™ Water Ballast option across the range.
