Centre Consoles

The Formosa Centre Console provides an open fishing platform with great access to all sides of the boat.

The console is positioned forward and the boat is designed to drive in a standing position. The Formosa Centre Console model has a forward casting deck built with a strong aluminium structure, an underdeck storage box with an aluminium drainage system around the hatch, to help keep the storage bay dry in case of rain. The Formosa Aluminium Console is 800mm wide, built with heavy-duty extrusions with plenty of storage and a Formosa designed heavy-duty folding windscreen for wind protection. The windscreen can be folded forward or removed to provide a 360-degree standing view and handy for low cover storage. A very popular option to consider is Formosa’s heavy-duty folding T-top with aluminium hardtop roof which provides extra sun and wind protection with the ability to add clears. A Twin Seat Box is standard on all Formosa OFFSHORE models and an option on the CLASSIC models. The twin-seat has a folding backrest so you can sit comfortably in full view of the rear and the cushioned seat folds forward to access a storage box underneath. To help you navigate inlets slowly, Formosa provides on this model an Electric Motor Mount for mounting a motor as a standard feature. A Formosa boat is known for its stability with its wide beam, yet the Quad4™ Water Ballast option is available if you need more stability at rest. Standard features on a Centre Console include a large aluminium Bowroller, 32mm handrails, Tow-Catch™ Trailer capability, heavy-duty dive ladder, quality steering, moulded fuel tank and sender with filter, automatic bilge pump, transom deck tread, foam-filled hull, electrical harness kit, 2 cleats, forward bollard, white paint and Formosa graphics, plus more.

Offshore Features

The OFFSHORE models now have the Offshore Kill Tank with Drainage System as standard! Upgrade to an OFFSHORE Centre Console and receive a High Tensile 5083 Plate Hull (including sides), a true Self-draining Aluminium Deck with scuppers, SeaStar Hydraulic Steering & hoses, Four (4) Aluminium angled rod holders (sizes 620 and over have 6) and the new Offshore Kill Tank. An underfloor 80L auxiliary tank for fuel or water is available for boats 620 and over. The Formosa OFFSHORE Centre Console is available in sizes 490, 520, 550, 580, 620 and 660.

Classic Features

The CLASSIC Centre Console is available in four sizes and built with a Marine Grade 5052 Plate Hull with 4mm sides and 4mm bottom sheets, four (4) seat positions, four (4) plastic angled rod holders and quality Hardwood Flooring, carpeted for a cool, comfortable footing. We’ve installed on the Classic models SeaStar XTREME™ Mechanical steering and cable and the 580 and 620 CLASSIC has SeaStar Hydraulic steering. The Formosa CLASSIC Centre Console is available in sizes 490, 520, 550, 580 and 620. The 620 has a High Tensile 5083 Plate Hull.

480 is now 490

To offer the Quad4™ Ballast option on all models, the 480 has had an increase in size to 490, taking the overall length including the Bowroller to 510. The new 490 now has an Extra-long shaft and a deadrise of 16 degrees. Check with your local dealer for customisation and options.

Active Transom

The innovative step-down ‘Active Transom’ has smarter storage solutions, easy on-board battery access and continues to be the best in transom design and water access on the market. With the Active Transom, you can choose from four options, Full Access, Dual, Single and Closed Access. Full Access and Dual Access are not available for sizes 700 and 740 in this model.

Formosa SRT Plate Hull -2019

The New Formosa SRT Plate Hull combines the very best boat designs from the SEA-ROD and Tomahawk brands, packaging them into one skilfully engineered plate boat and rebranded as Formosa SRT. The new plate hull features the ultimate level of performance, handling and stability with the inclusion of custom-built cambered strakes for creating hydrodynamic lift and superior traction, a stronger Lock-cell Hull Structure, increased deadrise, large reverse chine and a Quad4™ Water Ballast option across the range.
